Hi everyone, I'm Tango. I look like a big boy but you have to remember I'm still a puppy. At about 11 months old, I am 75 pounds of puppy love. I am a bundle of energy and if you don't show me how to use it, I like to find my own ways. I feel the same about rules and boundaries. I am very happy to follow your rules if you remind me, but if you let me, I can be very independent.

I have been a very good boy with my new foster family. I haven't had any accidents inside and am learning about my crate. I go in easily when enticed with a treat. I sing for a little while but then I settle down. I really enjoy the large fenced yard so I can run off all of my energy. It helps me to be a good boy if I get my exercise. My little foster sisters (they're both older, but I'm bigger!) and I run and run and run. I need to be reminded to take breaks. During my breaktime I like to take naps in my bed, or on the hard kitchen floor. I love head pats and butt scratches. I will fetch a tennis ball but really prefer tug-of-war. I'm told I'm a good cuddler and I give good kisses, too.

I've been in a few homes now so the rules keep changing but I am eager to please and do my best. I am learning to sit and wait by the door before going outside and before I eat. I like treats to and know how to take them gently. I am good at sharing toys. I will try to sneak some of my sisters' food though, if nobody is watching.

I hope my furever home is with a family who will be patient with me as I learn yet another new routine, is active so I can get my exercise, and will adore all the puppy love I have to give!

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
