Meet Tadea! She is an 18 week old, 19 pound, female, Labrador Mix. This adorable caramel colored girl has a heart of gold and is sure to win you over. Tadea is a lucky pup to be fostered by a fellow ALR parent with an ALR alumni as her foster sister. She absolutely loves having the company of another dog in the home to teach her the ropes. Her foster mom writes: “Tadea, lovingly called Dea, is as sweet as they come. She starts up a fierce wag to greet any oncoming new friends on walks. And slides over for infinite belly rubs as soon as she meets someone new. She’s already proven herself to be a smart cookie - will sit for treats, knows which one is her foster house coming home from walks, is learning no, adapting to potty training quickly and eats from a puzzle bowl. She knows how to sit and wait for her meals, will sit at the crosswalk before crossing the street, and will sit by the door to get her leash put on. This girl has mastered “sit!” Tadea would make a great second pup - and gets along really well with her furry foster sister (ALR alumbi, also from Puerto Rico). She could play with another dog all day long, she absolutely loves the company. She slept through the night in her crate with just a few cries - but self soothed with a toy and good night’s sleep. Tadea is excitedly getting the hang of walking on leash in Williamsburg - and is keen to check out new smells and parks. She would make a perfect family dog, she got to meet some kids in the park and was so polite and friendly with them. She sat patiently with them wagging her tail and offering sweet face licks.
