Taco's Story

Meet Taco!

Taco was surrendered to our rescue when her mom could no longer financially care for her. Taco is VERY overweight! She is on a diet of reduced calorie food and green beans. She is NOT happy about it! Even though Taco doesn't let her weight ger her down! She loves running around the backyard of her foster's house. She will play with toys if you toss them to her. Taco is a little yappy when she first meets someone new but calms down quickly. She walks well on a leash too!

Taco is looking for a family that will help her continue on her weight loss journey. Taco had a dental and sadly she lost all of her teeth. Seven years old and not teeth! She is on wet food until her gums heal and toughen up. It could be quite awhile that she needs wet food. She had bloodwork done and it all came back good. We thought she may possibly have a thyroid issue. Turns out she is just super super chunky HA!

Taco is spayed neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and4DX(tick/heartworm test) negative.

Taco is approximately 7years old and weighs 20 pounds. A healthy weight for her would be around 13-15 pounds.

To meet Taco, please fill out the application https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAWP/Dog

Paw Posse Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters fill out an application. If we feel based off the application that they may be a good fit we do a phone interview. If that goes well we do a meet and greet. If there are other dogs involved they are included in the meet and greet. If that goes well we move to the home inspection. If they pass we can process the application. Sometimes dogs don't mesh the first time meeting. We will set up additional meet and greets for the dogs. There may be things in their home that we ask them to change (storage box by a fence, lock on the gate, barrier at the front door). Once we verify these items repaired/in place we will approve the application. We follow up with our adopters regularly. We ask for updated photos and help with any concerns they may be having.
