Meet Tabitha

Hi there! My name is Tabitha, but my friends call me Tabby, or sometimes Tabbers, or Sweet Girl, Good Girl, etc. I respond to all of the above. I was born out on the Navajo Reservation and I lived a year or so all alone. At one point I got hit by a car or something (I can't really remember) and it broke one of my back legs, but I just had surgery to fix it (it was called an FHO)

and I'm already using all four legs again! My foster mom says I'm so strong she can't believe it. I never even cried about my leg--it was just something I dealt with--but now its like I have a whole new leg!

Anyway, my foster mama says I'm a perfect little lady in the house. I have never ever gone to the bathroom inside--gross! I use the dog door. I just hang out when I am at home. I love to be near my foster family. I love my foster dog brother, Archie (but right now I'm not allowed to play with him-- 'cause of my leg--bummer). My bestest animal friend is my foster kitty brother, Herbie. I love that kitty. He lets me play bitey bitey with him and sometimes he cleans my face with his tongue. We love to snuggle. I really super love those squishy toys with the squeakers!! I used to sometimes think my human foster sister's soft toys or shoes were mine, but now I know which ones are mine and which are hers--I like her, too. In fact I like all human puppies. When I make a mistake like that, I can hear it in my foster mama's voice--and I give her a big grin to let her know I know I was wrong. She's tried to get a video or picture--but I know what she's doing and I don't want a picture of me getting in trouble!! She says my smile is hilarious. She says sit and I sit, she says wait and I wait, she says lay down and...well mostly I lay down, but sometimes I need a reminder.

Foster mama says the things I need to work on are going out in public. You see, I get soooo excited to smell and see new things! Sometimes I forget my manners. Foster mama says we just need more practice. I can make so many different noises--sometimes I try them all out when I see another dog that I want to meet. Foster mama says some of them sound mean and the other dogs get scared--I don't mean it though! I'm just trying to get their attention.

Foster mama says the best home for me is one that can help me through the rest of my physical therapy (that's real easy--it involves some exercises and lots of treats for me!!--Did I mention I love treats? I really love treats), and is willing to work with me on my public manners. I love walks so if you like walks, too, we would get along great. But she says whoever adopts me is super lucky because I will be all yours and love you forever and ever. If I sound like a good fit for you, you can email foster mama at littlerita2@gmail.com. She can send you an application and set up a time for us to meet! I will give you kisses!!
