This pretty lady is Sydney! She is a 6 year old American Pit Bull Terrier who weighs 48 pounds.

Sydney is sweet, loving, and gentle. She is a go-with-the-flow type of girl who just wants to be loved and included. Sydney is pretty mellow and low-key - she loves cuddling, holding hands with her person, and lounging on the couch. She is a little shy at first, but her silly, playful side starts coming out as she feels more comfortable. Sydney loves going on car rides and walks, and she is not fazed by other dogs while out and about. This happy girl gets the cutest zoomies and the fastest tail wags when she's excited about something. She knows sit, shake, and lay down.

New people make Sydney nervous, and she will often look to her person for guidance on how to respond to unfamiliar faces. It’s important that her adopter understands the importance of introducing new people slowly. In general, she is much more comfortable around females and prefers them over men. Sydney can occasionally get protective of her favorite person, so a single owner - or a home with strictly females - would be ideal. If a prospective adopter lives in a home with others, they need to prioritize making sure she feels comfortable with everyone in the household. She will do best in a home where she’s the only animal.

Sydney is a loyal dog who loves with absolutely everything she has - we're excited to find someone who will give her the same in return! Her minimum adoption fee is $195 plus a $12 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
