Meet Sweetie!

My name is Sweetie! As you can see from my photos, I have a winning smile that I’d love to share with you.

I’m a petite 35-pound, 4-year-old spayed Shepherd Mix who loves running in the backyard and everywhere else! My absolute favorite activity? Zoomies! I’ll make you laugh as you watch me zip around your yard, having the time of my life. Despite my zoomies outside, I tend to be a lower-energy dog who interacts well with humans. I don’t mind smaller dogs but don’t play with them much, preferring to do my own thing.

I’m shy, so I prefer to approach people rather than them approaching me, though I am never growly or concerned. When in my crate, I love stuffed animals to tear apart and bones to chew. Though I am a little bit of a toy hog, I’m respectful when my foster parents take toys away.

My perfect match would be a person who enjoys walks, snuggling on the couch, and has a relatively quiet, low-to-medium energy household. I’m a very selective pup, especially at first, so allowing time for me to get to know you and having a crate for a safe space to land would be perfect. I’m gentle, low maintenance, and the perfect lady—housebroken, crate-trained, and learning manners.

All Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue dogs are in homes with foster families; we do not have a shelter where dogs are available for daily viewing.

Our process is as follows:
1. Review our policies and adoption radius on our website: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/
2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
