Hi there! My name is Sweetie and I absolutely live up to this adorable name of mine. My favorite thing in the world is to give and receive affection. I am a total cuddle-bug lover-girl! Have a lap? I'll climb into it! Well, yes, I am 60 pounds and have great manners, so I am also happy to sit right next to you for our snuggle sessions. But -- if you decide to invite me into your lap I will not say no that's for sure!

I am not only affectionate and snuggly, I am also playful and fun. I enjoy meeting other dogs and am friendly with them. I like to play with toys too! I am six years old but certainly not an old fuddy-duddy. I am playful as a puppy when I'm around playful dogs. Dogs, toys, belly rubs, cuddling -- these are some of my favorite things!

Conversely, I am well balanced, so I don't need to play all the time (remember I'm six years old!) so I also like nice long snoozes on the sofa, assuming you have a sofa! I've lived successfully and happily in two other homes with cozy sofas. In my first home, my owner passed away; that tragedy happened not too long ago. Then I had a foster family and they loved me so much they adopted me. But then they fell on hard times and didn't have money to pay the bills. With all that loss you'd think that I'd be sad and depressed. NOPE! I'm Sweetie and this happy-go-lucky girl has stayed happy-go-lucky! What my losses mean is that I am now in search of a family that has the resources and time to make me their Special Princess! I will wear that crown proudly I pinky promise! Wouldn't a pretty pink crown look extra perfect on my beautiful gray and white coat? Delicious!

I have already met lots of new people here at Desert Haven and I've been given tons of compliments on my excellent manners when I meet people. I'm friendly, happy, sweet, loving, and adorable when I meet people. When a volunteer leashes me up I walk very nice on the leash. I sometimes walk right next to you for long stretches too! I do my best not to pull on the leash. I do like to stop and smell the roses so I hope you also like to take a nice leisurely stroll as well.
