Sweet Potato English Bulldog Montclair, NJ

Sweet Potato had an undeniably rough start to her life- used for breeding, and then given away with no care when she developed a life-threatening uterine infection- she was lucky to end up with Cameron Animal Rescue. She had surgery to treat the infection and spay her, but due to the severity of the infection, and her poor condition, she suffered complications and needed additional surgery and medical treatment. She has now had time to heal, and more than a month later, this wonderful girl is now thriving!
Sweet Potato is incredibly sweet and gentle. She loves attention, and when you are petting her, will often reach out to place her paw on your arm- her way of "holding your hand". For the first time in her life she has the freedom to run and play outside, and watching her discover the joy is incredible.
Sweet Potato can sometimes be shy with new people and in new situations, and she can find sudden/unexpected loud noises frightening. Therefore, young energetic children are not a good fit for her. Sweet Potato has been tested wtih other dogs, and was good. She has not been tested with cats yet. Sweet Potato loves playing and spending time outside, therefore she would be best in a home with a fenced yard. Sweet potato will be a wonderful additon to any family, and she deserves all of the love and attention she can get.

Please note: Adopters must have an extensive previous veterinary referece. Although out of state applications will be considered, applicants from the Northern NJ area will be favoured.
