I'm a fighter! I'm a survivor! And I can get through anything people can throw out me....or in my case...shoot at me! I'm Swagger, a one year old, 43 pound, Australian Cattle Dog/Red Heeler and I was shot with a 38 caliber in the face. I also have buck shot in my back end. When Rescue One came into my life, I needed surgery for the damage to my jaw. I had to go to Kansas City for the surgery and I had 15 teeth removed. Now I am recovering in my foster home and looking forward to this next chapter of my life!

Even though I am only a year old, I am laid back. I really really want to play, but the vet said, I can't play until I am healed. Surprisingly, I am house, crate and leash trained already. I also get along with other dogs and kids. An active home and a family who understands that I have been through significant trauma would be great fit for me. But I refuse to let the trauma define me and my future. We fall, we break...then we heal, we rise and we overcome!
