Suzy is a 6-yr old Maltese mix recently released from a puppy mill. Adjusting to life as a normal dog has been relatively seamless. Foster mom has 3 small dogs. No issues there. Our mill dogs need a home with a resident dog about the same size and age plus and fenced in yard. She seems pretty mellow but has had no experience with young children or cats. Foster mom uses pee pads so outdoor potty training needs some work. Suzy would benefit from a little more activity than she's getting in her foster's home so leash training would help. However, she loves to snuggle when her human is watching tv.

She will be going to her adoptive home under a foster to adopt contract until her spay at Brockport Veterinary Hospital on Nov 18th. You would be required to get her to this appointment.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
