Hi, I'm Suzanne, an easy going supermutt! I'm looking hard for a home where someone cares for me. My last home in Texas didn't, I have been promised that I deserve and will get better treatment.
I was so terrified at first in my foster home, but it only took a couple of hours and I felt much better. I was happy to have my belly rubbed and kisses planted on my nose, because I love giving and receiving affection.
I have met a couple of kids, and I liked them. The 2 cats in the house seem very nice but I have no interest in chasing them. There are 2 dogs a bit bigger than I, and the female is OK, but I don't like the male. The two other foster puppies I like. I'd probably be happiest to be the only dog in the house, so all the love goes ME. I am all about love, and sniffin'.
I do enjoy a good walk, and I think I'm pretty well behaved on a leash. I adore treats, so if anything isn't quite right I can learn pretty quick.
Foster mom brings me to the park, and there's a fenced area where I can run free. I can get some good zoomies in there! And i like looking out the window on the car rides, it's fun.
At night I can't decide where I want to sleep, so I wander between dog beds in the bedroom and living room. But I'm very quiet about it. Fortunately foster mom is an early riser, 'cause I sure am. I know I'm supposed to relieve myself in the yard, but a couple times she didnt catch my drift and ...oops.
Although I have normal energy for a young dog, I won't bug anyone about it. I am very happy to do some couch snuggling whenever I can. I may be a little shy at first, but take me home and you will see the lovebug I truly am!
Our standard adoption fee is $375 if paid by cash or check, or $385 if paid by credit card (which includes a $10 processing fee). This fee covers spay/neuter surgery when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, and microchipping.
In order to be considered for adoption, we require a fully completed application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with your entire family. Please note that submitting an application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee approval—it simply allows us to begin the review process.
If you are interested in adopting or would like additional information, please email us at adopt@safehavendogsIL.org to request an application.
Keep in mind that the breed and size listed in each dog's biography are our best educated guesses and are not guaranteed.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant for any reason.
