Susan 51369's Story

Susan is such a little sweetheart. She absolutely adores children! She is very jumpy and licky though, so make sure they are sturdy. Hard chew toys are an absolute favorite of hers. She free roams in our house, but does bark when you leave for a bit. She just loves people so much. She is the perfect bed companion. She sleeps completely through the night. She is also house trained. She seems way too interested in our outside cats, so I wouldn’t adopt her to a home with them unless you were okay with doing very slow and proper introductions. She is dog friendly, but has mild resource guarding tendencies. She will growl and bare teeth if another dog gets too close to her food, toys, or person. She does not do this with people. My eight year old could take something right out of her mouth and she has zero reaction. She also easily redirects, and has never started a scuffle with another dog in our home. Though our dogs are old and don’t engage with her. I wouldn’t adopt her if you have a very dominant dog that would challenge her. Otherwise, she is very easy. My son says she is the best foster we have ever had and they are joined at the hip. She loves snuggling on the couch with him. She is also pretty small. At least compared to our dogs. She has long legs, but is only 30 pounds. If she sounds right for you, come by and meet her! You will quickly fall in love.
