Meet Sunshine
Sunshine was adopted out as a puppy and as she aged she decided that she didn't love the resident cat and wanted to chase it around so her family returned her to rescue back in Jan of '23 at 8 months old and she has been with us here ever since. Sunshine is now about 16 months old and weighs about 38 pounds. She's a wonderful medium size, compact dog who would be great to travel with. She's a bit higher energy and would make an amazing running, hiking, adventure buddy. We don't know a breed, small terrier/heeler/TX brown dog?? She does well with the other dogs in her play group and would do well with another buddy in the house to burn off some energy with. A fully fenced and secure backyard would be ideal so she can explore and play however an apartment would be fine if her new family was dedicated and ensure she was able to burn off some energy in other ways. Since she has lived in a home before she's had house training and is crate trained. She's also had some obedience training but will need to brush up on her skills in her new home. She's good with people, happy and playful and would love nothing more than a home of her very own...with no cats!
**This dog is currently at the rescue in TX however you can secure this pup for yourself with a pre-adoption which means getting your app in, approved and then paying the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $450 which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, HW testing, chipping, health certificate and transport fees. All our dogs come with a 30 day, money back, trial period to make sure they are the right fit in your environment but if it doesn't work you will have to foster until the dog gets rehomed. Tall Tails Rescue has a commitment to these dogs for their lifetime and we hope you do too! If you are interested in pre-adoption you can click the link here or copy/paste and fill out the app to get started: https://form.jotform.com/PNWdogs/ttrt-pnw-ap
