Sunshine Jack Russell Terrier & Belgian Shepherd / Malinois Mix Santa Monica, CA

Sunshine and her siblings were rescued from Brawley, CA. They were born in a cow farm that had a lot of herding dogs that were not spayed/neutered. One of our volunteers had a family member living in Brawley and she guided us to come rescue several dogs in that animal farm.

Our volunteers drove for 3 hours to get to the city of Brawley and they met the responsible party for the farm. The man mentioned that his dogs keep multiplying and the property already had 2 litters of puppies one of 8 dogs (Jack Russell, Belgian malinois, Papillon mixes) and the other litter of 6 dogs (Border Collie mixes).

The rescue asked the man if he wanted to surrender the puppies and their moms. The man said that he does not want to give away the moms and he only wants the rescue to take the puppies. The rescue insisted to take the moms at least to get them spayed and bring them back. We wrote an agreement with him and we got his dogs spayed.

The puppies were split into groups to be placed at different fosters. During their stay at PetEmber, the puppies received up-to-date shots of vaccines (Parvo, distemper, adenovirus I, Adenovirus ii, Parainfluenza, and bordtella) and their up-do-date boosters. They have been dewormed and they received flea & tick control medication. The puppies were socialized. They are playful and smart. They are healthy and ready for a forever home. The puppies are not fully potty trained yet and you will need to work on that as an adopter. The puppies can lay with you on a couch watching TV and they can also go with you for a walk. They are precious and adorable. They will be medium-to-large size when fully grown.

The puppies are not spayed/neutered yet as they did not reach the age of sterility. All dogs must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age as a part of the adoption agreement.

We email approved applicants and schedule meets and greets within a couple of days.

We are having an adoption event next Saturday at the PetSmart in Fullerton starting at 01:00 PM. The event will feature these dogs and several other dogs for adoption. You are invited to stop by and see if there is a dog you are interested in adopting.
You can also request a private meet and greet for the dog during the weekdays but those meets and greets will be held at our corporate office in San Bernardino.
