Meet Sunny, the 98-pound bundle of love and joy! This handsome 5-year-old neutered male Pitbull mix is currently thriving in his foster home in HOUSTON, TX, and can be transported to an approved adopter anywhere his perfect family may be.

Sunny’s name says it all—he’s a bright ray of sunshine who lights up every room he enters. With his energetic personality and eagerness to please, Sunny is a loving companion who will be your biggest cheerleader in life. He’s been living with a professional trainer, where he has mastered basic commands like sit, down, stay, and place. He’s both crate-trained and housetrained, making him an easy addition to your home. Sunny’s love language? Treats, of course! His food motivation makes continued training a breeze.

Sunny has a playful and outgoing personality, and he’s met plenty of dogs during his time in rescue. While he gets along best with balanced, calm dogs who can match his play style, he’d also be perfectly happy as the one and only furry king of his castle. He loves to play and run, so an active buddy or a family ready to throw a ball or two would make him very happy. He’s curious about cats in the neighborhood but hasn’t lived with them yet, and he’s best suited for a home with kids aged 12 and older due to his size and enthusiastic, wiggly nature.

On walks, Sunny is a star! He walks nicely on a leash and only pulls when he spots another dog because he’s so excited to say hello. A quick redirection is all he needs to get back on track. At home, Sunny is an affectionate cuddlebug who enjoys lounging in his crate with the door open or snuggling up close to his favorite humans. He loves chewing on toys and bones, and his moderate energy level means he’s up for a walk or playtime, followed by some quality relaxation.

Sunny is incredibly smart and thrives in a home where he can continue to learn and bond with his people. He’s happiest with someone who is home more often than not, as he loves to be by your side. Left unsupervised, his curious nature might lead him to “inspect” countertops for treasures, but with a little guidance and a treat or two, he’s quick to learn.
