Meet Sunbeam - ADOPTED
When I was borne, the city officials killed my littermates. A few people fostered me for a short time. As I got bigger, they were not able to keep me in their apartment. My rescuer kept me in the neighborhood, and paid a few people to watch after me and some other pups and let her know if city officials came to kill again. My rescuer has placed me in a shelter where I have been getting basic obedience and leash training for about the last 2 months, which is going well.
I am quite nurturing. My mother had several litters of pups and I helped raise them. I am a very kind and love people. I also get along with other dogs and would like it if another were in your home. I like just being with people, so I will probably follow you around for attention. I can be just a bit shy, probably from having been chained when young. Once in a loving, safe home, that should dissipate over time. I am in good health and like playing too. Sorry, I have not been around cats, so not sure how I would do with them.
Having a middle of the road activity level home would be good. I enjoy being playful, but also enjoy just being loving snuggling. Walks, dog parks and some hiking would be fun. Bet I would like a stuffed toy to cuddle up with like a baby too. I hope you have the home for me.
I have been spayed/neutered, *vaccinated & micro-chipped.
My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada.
Please review our adoption guidelines at http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca.
Disclaimer: in order to keep both dogs and children safe, the Board of Directors has decided that unless a representative of LALDR has personally met the dog or has been satisfied by the international rescue about the dogs' ability to live with children, we will not approve an adoption to a family with children age 8 or younger. We are hesitant to approve and adoption for families with children under the age of 12, but will consider each application individually.
*Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and leptospirosis. They are not given bordatella as that has not been a problem the Middle East.
