Sumo is a 4-year-old American Bully with a heart as big as his head. This goofy, mischievous, and treat-motivated sweetheart is packed with personality and looking for a home where he can thrive.

Why You’ll Love Sumo:
• Cuddle King – Loves wedging himself between your legs for a nap.
• Well-Trained – Knows sit, down, heel, wait, leave it, drop it, and even “paw spa” for easy paw wiping.
• Quiet but Alert – Rarely barks but will let you know if someone’s at the door (and stops when told).
• No Food Guarding – You can take his bowl mid-meal with no issues.
• Great at the Vet – Handles checkups and pills like a champ (just add peanut butter).

• Fenced Yard – He will chase squirrels and horses.
• Experienced Owner – Needs someone familiar with bully breeds and positive reinforcement. Not for first-time dog owners.
• No Small Kids – Not aggressive, just wasn’t socialized with young children due to COVID.
• Outside High-Density Urban Areas – Thrives in open spaces, not city life.
• Preferably the Only Pet – He’s happiest as the center of attention.

Sumo’s Routine & Needs:
• Energy Level: Couch potato if properly exercised. Loves walks, tug, sniff games, and squeaky toy chases.
• Daily Routine: Two 45-minute walks, playtime, and a short bedtime stroll.
• Sensitive to Energy: If people are nervous around him, he picks up on it.

Sumo is a beloved companion, but his downtown apartment is no longer the right fit. The environment has become too stressful, and he deserves space, structure, and love. Sumo is currently living with a trainer and enjoying outdoor country spaces daily. He cannot stay in the trainer’s care, he needs a family.
