Meet Sumo!

Sumo is a 9-year-old sweet, gentle soul who's looking for a calm and understanding family to call his own. He's a bit nervous at times and requires a patient hand to help him feel secure. It's understandable then that he has struggled to adjust to a big change in his life: living in an apartment with a baby.

Sumo was originally adopted as a puppy in Japan. He's more comfortable around women but warms up to others with patience. Sumo is crate-trained, although he's figured out how to open the latch (so an extra lock comes in handy).

Sumo thrives in a loving environment where he can form a close bond with his human companions-he loves cuddling and will make the best snuggle buddy!

While he's unsure around other dogs, Sumo is generally indifferent to cats and other small animals. He's ready to give his heart to the right person who will offer him the stability, love, and gentle guidance he needs to feel at home.
