Meet Summer

Hi, my name is Summer!

What season is this? Summer? Well then, let’s get busy with an application so Summer (AKA me) can enjoy the summer with a new family! My 2nd birthday is coming up and a new home would be the best present ever.

According to my DNA test I’m part cattle dog and boxer! My foster parents say they “love me to pieces.” Not sure what that means, but I think it’s a good thing. I’m a pretty, young girl who loves to be petted and weigh 35-40 pounds. I’m housebroken, crate-trained, have all my shots and spayed. I’m ready to go!

What’s special about me? The list is long so let’s just say I have excellent hearing to alert you of trouble – did you notice my ears? I have a compact muscular body making me a healthy pal for walks and activities of all kinds. I’ve become good at meeting new people and sometimes offer my paw and give little kisses. I can jump high and run fast, and would be great at agility! You’ll laugh at my goofy ways and swoon when you look into my eyes. Finally, I look great in black, so no ‘little black dress’ for me!

High on my list is a family who can help me with my separation anxiety. I love my
people so much that I don’t like being without them. If I’m outside playing, rest assured that I’ll check on you regularly to make sure you’re OK. But, I’m young and will learn that you’ll come back home after shopping for my treats.

I enjoy playing with other dogs and I’m all for teens, just no small kids as I have no
experience. I love being outdoors so a fenced yard sure would be great! After a fun day, let’s just snuggle and watch Nat Geo Wild.
