DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Calling all you small dog lovers! Sugar is new on the scene and ready to find her forever home. She is a sweet girl who loves her simple comforts and if you give her a warm bed she'll love you too! This little cutie is spry and active, but not over the top and settles nicely. She is dog friendly, kid friendly, low/medium energy and loves attention. She is Heartworm positive but her treatment is COMPLETE as of 5/04/2023 and she is doing really well! It sure would be nice if she was in her forever home spending the rest of her years with you!!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
