My name is Stitch and I am an 8 year old, 85 lb, German Shepherd. Don't let my age fool you though because I am a happy outgoing boy who loves his toys and hoomans. I am potty trained, and I walk pretty well on a leash but could still improve a little. I do well and love to be around other dogs, but am too much of a fan of the felines so I need a home without kitty companions. I tend to slobber on them a little much. I have met kids 12 and older but no little ones yet. I would love to meet any kids! I am a really laid back and easy going guy and am very friendly and loveable. I was abandoned and ended up in a high kill shelter but I don't let my past get me down. I always have my goofy smile on my face. I have the beginnings of hip dysplasia but have no issues with stairs or walks or excercise. I was just diagnosed with renal disease also known as kidney failure so we don't know my lifespan ahead but I am currently having no issues with that either. (Dogs with renal disease can live several years so Stitch could still have his full lifespan ahead of him). I am undergoing heartworm treatment and only have a slight case of heartworms so I will have a full recovery there! In the mean time my activity level needs to be kept low to help me recover from the worms but I love naps so I'm not really struggling keeping a low activity level. Despite my health challenges, I would be a great companion to any current resident dogs and to the hoomans of any family. My leash manners and potty training are a great plus. I have perfect house manners. I ride great in the car and love car rides too! If you think we would be a good match please follow the instructions below to meet me!

Stitch is fostered in Lincoln and cannot be viewed at the shelter in Papillion. The adoption fee is $300 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. They will determine if you and/or your family are a fit and if so, provide instructions for completing the application.

After you have submitted an application and have been approved, we will setup a meet and greet between you and the pet. Applications are reviewed in order of receipt.
