It is paramount that female dogs are spayed before their first heat, which reduces the chances of mammary gland cancer in later years by 99.5%. When we received Stevie she was days away from going into heat. Due to the clock ticking we located a veterinary facility, spared no expense, where she was spayed that same week! The most important of all was Stevie Nicks is no longer in the high risk cancer category.

Stevie is one of those dog that a video camera needs to follow. The other day she found a chew toy in the yard and just went about her business gnawing away. What was unbelievable was that her brothers were playing and playing hard around her, on top of her, knocking her over, yet Stevie didn't miss a beat. She continued gnawing on her toy as if nothing was intruding!
