"Why, hello there! My name is Static Shock, inspired by my adorable wiry coat. It’s so nice to meet you! I am approximately 8 months old and 52 pounds of handsomeness. I’m a southern gentleman, who recently made the journey from an overcrowded shelter in Georgia to Providence Animal Center!

My friends all describe me as a friendly, snuggly, and energetic boy. I’m just out of puppy-hood, so I’d love a family that will continue teaching me good manners and cool, new tricks! I already know how to “sit” on command, and will do that for a nice treat – like cheese!

I had the pleasure of going on a sleepover recently, and here are some things my lovely host had to say about me: "He is a delight. He is SMART, obedient, loving and has a wonderful temperament. No accidents in the house! The first cue he was smart was when we stopped at Pet Smart to get a few essentials. When we got to the aisle with the dog beds, he promptly pulled out the one you see in the picture and laid on it. He loves light and after a brief tour of the house settled in the Living Room. Most of the time though he was with us in the kitchen either at my side or snuggled in his bed. He rides very well in the car as I took him with me most of the time on short errands. Thankful for the opportunity to have this wonderful dog for a few days. I will really miss him."

While Providence Animal Center is closed for now due to Covid-19, I am lucky enough to be staying in a fabulous foster home while I wait for my forever family to find me.
