Star & Oscar Great Pyrenees Mix Pocatello, ID

Bannock Humane Society is helping to rehome these two gorgeous Great Pyrenees mixes.

Star (all white, female) and Oscar (gray mask, male) are a sweet, bonded pair of snuggly house dogs who were rescued as puppies in fall 2022.

They are great with people, older kids, and other dogs. They are sweet with small children but sometimes accidentally knock them down. Oscar is timid with men he doesn’t know at first, but warms up quickly. They love to run around and play with other dogs, and they are curious but not aggressive with cats. They are good on leashes and love car rides.

They are not working dogs, but would do best with a large yard or acreage to meet their breed instincts of roaming/patrolling. As is typical of Great Pyrs, they are loyal guardian dogs and will bark loudly at any person or animal who comes near the fence, but they are not aggressive. Great Pyrs are also impressive escape artists, so a secure fence is a must. Their current family has struggled to keep them contained and fears for their safety, as they live near the highway. Someone experienced with Great Pyrs and their wily but loving ways would be an ideal match :)
