Star Labrador Retriever Mix Springfield, MO

Hey there! My name is Star. I’m an 8-month-old, 37 pound, female black lab mix, and I’d love to have a starring role in your family videos. I know how to play my part really well! I’m already house trained and crate trained and I do pretty well on a leash too. I had kind of a rough life before I got to Rescue One, so it takes me a while to warm up to new dogs. I sometimes get scared and act a little intimidated at first when dogs approach me. I would love to have another dog my size or larger in my new family, as long as I am given time to get to know them slowly. I love kids! I’m not too fond of cats though, so none of those furry felines in my new home please. I need a fenced yard to run and play in, and would not do well in an apartment. I’m super smart! I know some commands (like sit and shake), and I’m eager to learn more. I love to play fetch, and I love to cuddle on the couch with my people. I also LOVE to swim! Lake, river, pool — if there’s water, I want to be in it! I would be over the moon if you’d fill out an adoption application today!

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
