Hi, my name is Stanley! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Excitable, playful, affectionate, silly puppy, a little shy sometimes, still learning how to be a dog!

-Can Live with Kids: Respectful, dog-experienced kids ages 8+ (I am sensitive to handling and sometimes need my space!)

-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - will need proper introductions to ensure everyone gets along. I would likely overwhelm shy or senior cats who prefer being left alone, but may do okay with a confident kitty.

-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, Stanley does great with other dogs and would love another canine companion that could handle an energetic puppy!

-Can do Apartment Living: Yes, with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

-Potty Trained: Working on it!

-Bite History: No

-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, a six week puppy or basic obedience course

-Energy Level: Medium

-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter & MC

-Additional Information: Stanley the puppy came to the shelter as a stray with his mom. We don't know too much about his past, but he seems to be a normal puppy - full of energy, playful, and in need of lots of attention. Stanley is still working on his manners and will need someone with the time and patience needed to raise a puppy. Like any puppy, he will need consistent positive reinforcement based training to help set him up for success. His potential adopters will also need to be willing to work with him on potty training as well as crate training. He's spent lots of time with his mom, but would benefit greatly from responsible socialization with other dogs.
