Meet Stacia

** Stacia has a pending adoption and we are no longer accepting applications for her **

Sweet Stacia came to JRTRO from Barbados. She is a very friendly girl who has been spayed, microchipped and has been brought up to date with her vaccines.

Stacia’s date of birth is 27/02/2020 and she weighs 13.3 kg (29 lbs).

Stacia’s foster mom has a lot of good things to say about this charming young girl:

“Do you like kisses? Belly rubs? Long walks? If you answer an enthusiastic “Yes?” then Stacia is the girl for you.

It was a bit of a culture shock for Stacia in the first few weeks. She came from the warmth of Barbados to the cold streets of Toronto. But she acclimatized to the Canadian winter very quickly and loved running around in the snow.

The busy streets of Toronto didn't faze her. She got used to the hustle and bustle of the city. You can call her a city girl now. She even says the streetcars don't bother her anymore. Still, she would be equally happy living in the suburbs or in a rural environment.

Stacia has what appears to be a boundless amount of energy. She loves to go to the dog park in the mornings. We spend a good hour or more each day. She loves running around, playing fetch, and interacting with the other dogs and humans. That burst of play and fun helps her settle later on in the day when her foster mom has to go into work for a few hours. She is ok being left at home for 4-6 hrs.

She still has some trouble seeing the difference between her toys and some household items. She can sometimes find herself in trouble as she has a fascination with toilet paper. However, she is very smart and a quick learner.

She arrived without much training but has picked up tricks very quickly. Best of all, she hasn't had a potty accident in a long time.

Stacia is extremely affectionate and has gotten along with everyone she has met. Her forever home wish list would be for someone who would love giving her belly rubs often. I think she would prefer to be with someone that has other dogs who are also very active, or someone who can spend time daily at the dog park or on long walks. Overall, Stacia is a lovely girl who is looking for her forever home!"
