Spotty Jack Russell Terrier & Chihuahua Mix Manhattan, KS

First off not all dogs have been treated equally, some of the scars are not visible. When we take the time, we start figuring out some of the foster dogs past life, we can work on many of the fears and love, patiences and compassion go far. As you read Spottys bio, remember he was the last dog #18 out of a tough situation because he was terribly fearful and had learned to be a survivor!
Spotty is thought to be between 1 to 2 years old. We are guessing his breed is Jack Russell, Chihuahua and maybe more, he weighs 18 pounds. He is potty trained, neutered, current on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. He loves other dogs, big and small, remember he was one of a lot of dogs.
As his foster, I started a list of likes and fears. I will start with likes as they far outweigh the fears. He loves sitting in your lap, getting pets and taking naps, Toys, treats, other dogs, running and being chased by other dogs, antlers to chew on, looking out the window being a neighborhood watch but not much barking, doggie beds and sleeping in bed with his person, zooming around inside the house and outside. Some of the fears he has are being cornered, or put in a crate, new noises, children because they are not predictable. He is afraid of the broom, but not the vacuum.
As you can see he has many things he enjoys in life and some that truely terrify him. He will need a home that is calm, preferably a partner dog, fenced yard and tons of patience for him to settle in. The reward will be a loyal companion that gives a hug you will not forget.
