Spot's Story
Meet Spot! He is 11 weeks old and came from an Amish farm. We were told he is a cattle dog poodle mix.

Here is what his foster family has to say about him;

"Spot is doing great with potty training! When we're at home he will sit by the door when he needs to go outside. He has even started to go in and out the doggy door! He loves to play with all his toys and other dogs. He has not been introduced to cats or kids yet."

We would recommend that Spots family have some sort of herding dog breed expirence, as he is going to need someone committed to his training and exercise needs!

A good link with overall info about Australian Cattle dogs!
https://www.petfinder.com/dog-breeds/australian-cattle-dog/

An approved adoption application is required. The $375 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; vaccinations; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
