Speedy Jack Russell Terrier Toronto, ON

My name is Speedy and love to play with toys! I also really like playing catch, but I just can not bring myself to give you the ball. Once I have something it becomes mine, even if it’s yours. I growl a lot while playing. But I have never ever bitten. My growl sounds fierce but really, I am a little joker. I have a ton of energy and enjoy spending my free time at the dog park or doggy daycare. My foster mom says I get along with other dogs all shapes and sizes very well. I would be suited for a home where I can be active and mentally stimulated often.

At 2-3 years old I am still learning how to walk nicely on the leash, and my basic commands. I am getting really good and sitting and shaking a paw! And I can take treats very nicely. Oh! And I am house-trained. I have a foster brother who is what my foster mom calls a cat. I love chasing him and I am a little too rough with him to be friends. I am best suited for a home where I will not have any cat siblings.

I sleep in my kennel at night. I do cry for the first little while then settle right to sleep for the entire night. I do this funny thing where I get upset when one of my humans leaves the house, but when they both leave I am completely fine. I am really just wondering where people are going.

I love to push limits and test the rules. Sometimes I like to pretend I am the leader of the pack, and my humans need to remind me I am not the leader.My foster mom says this is the JRT in me. I am a very smart boy; my foster mom says my forever family will have to be careful I don’t outsmart them! And with the right guidance, I will grow into an amazing dog!
I am Speedy, and I live up to my name.
