Meet Spec, a shy and scared Chihuahua who is still learning what it means to be part of a loving home. Spec comes from a puppy mill breeder who has now closed its doors, and she has a long road ahead of her to learn to trust people and adapt to home life. Right now, Spec is very scared of humans and will run away if you try to approach her. She's still figuring out how to feel safe and comfortable in a home environment.

Spec is a work in progress and will require an experienced Chihuahua owner who understands the patience and care needed to help her grow. She may take time to warm up, and you will need to respect her boundaries while helping her build trust at her own pace. Spec will thrive in a quiet home with a calm and patient approach. It would be ideal if her new family has experience working with fearful dogs, especially Chihuahuas, who can be more sensitive to their surroundings. If scared and cornered, she will bite.

Spec cannot go to a home without another social, confident dog to help show her the way and provide her with some comfort. A very secure, fenced yard is also essential to ensure she feels safe and can enjoy outdoor time without fear of running off.

Spec is getting spayed Jan. 14th and can be adopted that weekend.
Spec's adoption fee is $300 plus tax. She will need a family that's willing to provide the time and care to help her become the loving companion she is capable of being.
