Sparky Shepherd & Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Rochester, NY

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.

Required: Physically fenced in yard for this boy to safely run and play in.

Sparky is a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Shepherd mix (best guess). DOB 12/03/2019. He weighs 57 lbs, and is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and micro-chipped.
Sparky is an energetic guy who needs some room to run in a secure fenced in yard and with a more active family .
He knows basic commands, including sit, down, paw, and dance! We have been working on stay, and loose leash walking. Due to his energy level and size older children only as he could knock down a younger one. While he is okay with other dogs he tends to get overly stimulated and plays rough. We do not know how he is with cats.
In the right home this boy will make an amazing addition to the right home. He is house trained and fun to have around. Sparky is very smart , but needs consistency in training to live up to his full potential. He has loads of personality, though, and is affectionate and a great snuggler. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
