Meet Soybean

Soybean is an AMAZING pup but don’t take my word for it! His foster has so much to share about him and how truly wonderful he is and the moment you are done reading you won’t possibly be able to say no to adding this pup into your life.

“Soybean is a happy and energetic 4-year-old dog looking for his forever home! His main joys in life are exercise, squeaky toys, and people by his side. He is a dog that has been forced to jump too many times between homes up to now and his adopter needs to be committed to being his forever home.

Because Soybean has been tossed between multiple homes in his short life, it has made him have mild separation anxiety. He has been taking medication to help but due to this, he will need an adopter willing to bring him to dog daycare for any long workdays (8+ hours). He enjoys spending time with other dogs his age - puppy energy is a little overwhelming for him. Also, Soybean is vocal as his breed ancestors intended and therefore cannot live in an apartment or townhome.

41-pound Soybean has been fondly named so because of how much muscle and protein that he packs into such a low-riding and stubby body! And like most pit mixes, Soybean has shown to have some food sensitivities to regular ole dog food. He will require a prescription Hydrolyzed Protein food to decrease allergy symptoms and his adopter would need to be comfortable buying that for him long-term. And because of his condensed body and energy level, he may be too much for young children so recommendation is kids above the age of 12.

Fun fact - Soybean loves the song "Squeaky Deaky" on Spotify; I put it on, and he immediately grabs his favorite toy and wiggles his butt as if dancing. It's my favorite thing! Oh! And he knows 'wait' before walking out the door but will let out a little squeal as soon as I say 'go' because he knows that he gets to walk and see all of his favorite squirrel friends.

Soybean loves living life in a routine and would love to not spend extended periods of time in his crate. His past adoptive home had him in his crate for 12+ hours a day and it was torture for him mentally and physically. He does love a good squeaky toy though! His favorite toy is any squeaker that he hasn't yet conquered; any tough-skin squeakers will last the best!

Soybean loves to stay active too! A good rollerblade where he can pull you for miles and miles with his hound energy and nose, or going for a jog, or chasing balls around the yard – he is game! A fenced in yard would be really great but not a deal breaker as long as he gets ample exercise opportunities.

Soybean is an amazing boy that loves people so much and his happiness and cuteness is contagious. He deserves an adopter who's in it for the long haul and please apply if his personality and energy seem to match yours!”
