13 year old Yorkshire Terrier mix

After her owner passed away in Quebec, Sophie Marie was surrendered to a high kill shelter as no family members were able to keep her. Accustomed to life as a beloved family pet, she was understandably very scared in the shelter.
Sophie Marie is a senior, but is very active for her age. She is a nervous Nellie who takes awhile to warm up to new people. Once familiar, she enjoys belly rubs and being talked to.
Sophie enjoys going for walks and being with you in the backyard. She is not a cuddly dog but is a sweet girl who enjoys racing around the house and yard.
She had dental surgery in January, 2019 and feels much better having had all teeth but 2 molars taken out. This does require that she have soften foods.
Sophie Marie would do well with another dog in the home, but could also be the only animal to focus all your affection towards.
