Meet Sophie
Sophie is a 10 year old female that acts like a 2 year old pup!
She is the perfect balance of energy and laziness— in that she is always down to run and play, but if you would rather relax all day, she is more than willing to join.
Before coming into rescue, she had only used pee pads inside, had limited if any socialization, and was used to making the rules. Thankfully, she now is about 90% housebroken. She also now LOVES both exploring the fenced backyard and socializing with other dogs. With humans she still takes a bit of time to warm up— but as long as the introduction is slow, positive, and done in an environment that she feels safe in, she will easily be your best friend before the day is done.
She is happiest:
1. Playing with her foster brothers, so a home that has another dog with some energy to play would be ideal.
2. Snuggled up under a blanket or on top of a human (she acts like there was a hand petting her constantly for the first nine years of her life!). So she is insisting on a new family, with oodles of love and attention to give!
She must be able to sleep in bed with her person.
Sophie is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and has been given a clean bill of health after exams and blood panels.
She is a dog that will require some TLC and patience, but will steal your heart before you even know it’s gone!
Must have experience with IGs and limited hours away from home.
