Sophie is looking for her forever family! Her foster mom said she is quite the snuggle bug, very loyal and sweet! She will need a patient family as she loves to bark and she's still a bit resource guarding with affection/attention. She used to bark at every noise, but now that she's used to the normal noises in and around their home that has mostly stopped. She does still bark at people when out on walks or if she can hear people getting close to our front door (they live in a townhome community with lots of kids who play in the neighborhood, so that's not uncommon). Her forever parents must be people who have patience and understanding with her, and hopefully they are familiar with the breed and how vocal they can be. She would be best as an only dog as she really does not want to share affection or attention with other dogs (she has run up and growl and act as if she is going to bite their dog (she has not followed through). Dogs will only be adopted to residents of California.

Adopters must agree to take the dog through obedience training within 3 months of adoption (unless the dog is over age 10).

Adopters must agree to keep the dog current on vaccinations and heart worm, flea, tick prevention on a year round basis.
