Hello, folks! My name is Sophie and I am nothing short of awesome. I am a 7-year-old shih-tzu with many more years of love to give. I do have some age-related challenges (cataracts and limited hearing), but that doesn’t keep me down. Just please don’t rearrange the furniture!

I am very sweet and mellow. I don’t mind being picked up, I’m fully housebroken, and I love attention and pets. I would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a very low-key dog who really just wants love. I get along fine with other mellow dogs but prefer my new home not have any active children or super active dogs due to my sensory limitations and potential for injury. I need my new family to be able to lift me for stairs and other reasons (I’m 11 pounds) and understand how to care for long-haired dogs (regular grooming).
