Sophie is a 10 yr old terrier? mix (really not sure what is in her) who weighs in at 34 lbs (could loose a few). Her owner passed away and she found herself without a home. She has not been around young children so don't know how she would be with them but feel at her age it is best to put her in a calmer home. She loves the adults she meets, and still will play with toys tossing them around. Overall she is in good health and has a lot of years still left to share with someone.
She has not been around a cat so we don't know how she would be with one. She takes a while to warm up to new dogs and is fine with more submissive ones but would love to be an only child as she loves to get all the attention. All animals are kept in foster homes so there is no shelter for you to visit animal. Please go to https://new2urescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/ if you would like to meet the foster animal or learn more.

All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.

Adoption fees:
Puppy to 1 yr of age: $350 to $400
1 yr to 6 yrs of age: $250 -$400
6 yrs to 8 yrs of age: $200 -350
Over 9 yrs of age: Adoption fee varies
*NOTE* Purebreds and Designer breeds, regardless of age are $325 to $400
