Look at that insanely cute face with those perky ears!!! Sophie was surrendered at the Star Valley shelter when her family could no longer afford her medicine. Sophie has a condition called Pannus that affects her eyes. She will need simple daily medication for the rest of her life to manage the symptoms but with the proper meds and care she will be happy and healthy! She gets along well with other dogs. Sophie is a bit shy of new people especially men but it doesnt take long for her to warm up. She loves to sit for treats and is ready to learn all sorts of new tricks! Come on in and meet his lil lady before someone else scoops her up!

Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.

-We require potential adopters to foster a dog for at least one night prior to adopting once they have an approved application submitted.
-We welcome out-of-area adopters, but please be aware we do require prospective adopters to come to our facility and meet the animal in person. You may either foster the dog locally in pet friendly lodging (preferably with any other dogs you own) or if you choose to drive the dog back home you agree to drive the dog back to Jackson if the dog isn't a good fit. Before you make the trip we encourage you to fill out an adoption application and submit it, to be sure you will qualify to adopt. Adoption applications can be filled out on our website. We cannot "hold" any animal. We have a "first qualified adopter can foster first" policy.
