Meet Sophie
UPDATED STORY
Sophie is a beautiful, sweet lady of Kentucky. She is 100+ lbs. and is estimated to be 5 or 6 years old. She is perfectly house-trained, she’s never messed in the house. She has great house manners. She’s non-destructive, doesn’t steal food from the table or get into the trash. There’s no reason to kennel her.
Sophie takes treats very gently and her favorite treat is toast. She will drool and wait by the table for her piece or pieces. Sophie isn’t much for cuddling, but she will sit by you or lay on the floor and let you pet her forever. If you stop, she’ll give you a paw to show she wants more. She doesn’t want to share the attention either. Sophie needs to be the only dog in the home.
She loves car rides and going for walks. Sophie will almost fall asleep while you give her a bath and brush her out. She has allergies and needs medicated baths and grain free food. It will help with itching and shedding. She may need medication during the summer months.
Loud noises, thunderstorms or a lot of commotion makes Sophie very nervous. She would be happiest in a calm home with older children. Sophie just wants a soft voice and a gentle hand.
Sophie is up to date on shots, microchipped and spayed. Secure, visible fencing is almost always required to adopt a Great Pyrenees.
An adoption application, site visit, secure visible fencing, and an adoption fee are required to adopt Sophie.
