Meet Sonny! Sonny is a 6 month old "toy" aussie. Who came into rescue after his new owner came down with a severe illness.

We have had a lot of interest in adorable Sonny since he's come to rescue. However, what many of our applications haven't realized is how "smol" Sonny actually is and will be when he's finished growing. As a result, he is still looking for his forever home.

While Sonny is technically a mini according to the breeder he came from, he will be closer to toy-sized, likely finishing out at around 20 lbs, and around 12-14" tall. For comparison, a standard Aussie is typically around 40 lbs and 18"-23' tall.

While toy Aussies can be as athletic, active, and high energy as a standard Aussie, special considerations for his new home have to be taken to make sure that his tiny size will be accommodated. It will also be important for his new home to understand that his small size will also bring about limitations to what he can do.
He is seriously the most fun and charming little guy - in the right home, he will be the biggest personality there is!

All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. His adoption fee will have a $100 deposit added to it for his neuter.
