SOLOMON Pit Bull Terrier & Hound Mix New York, NY

Solomon is 2 years old, 33 pound ittie bittie pocket pittie mixed with a hound that hails from a rural shelter in Georgia. Due to Covid, the shelter he was in is closed to adopters so we brought him up to NYC to give him a chance.

Solly as he is affectionately called for short, has an auburn coat, with adorable white markings, and a nubby little tail. Solomon takes a minute to warm up to new people and fully trust them but once he does, he is the most affectionate dog you’ll ever meet! His preferred position is either in your lap or upside down grinning with his belly to the sky. All he wants is to be by his human’s side. If he could, he would spend most of his days cuddling on the couch and receiving belly rubs.

Solly is pretty low key and mellow and enjoys leisurely walks around the neighborhood. He is even learning how to fetch! Solly is the only animal in his foster home but has met and played off leash with big dogs. Small dogs seem to set him off though, so no small creatures in his future home please.

Please no crates, no roommates and no small children!
