Soloman German Shepherd Dog & Australian Shepherd Mix Stafford, VA

Soloman is a 2 year old German Shepherd mix who weighs 59 pounds. He is up to date on Rabies vaccines. The shelter staff performed a behavioral evaluation and found that he is food/treat aggressive. We did a dog to dog test and saw he was more dominant, so we will require a dog meet and greet. He has not lived with other dogs or cats. He has lived with children in the home but was not really around them.

Bite Disclosure: Soloman was surrendered to us because he bit the previous owner's neighbor. What we were told is that Soloman got out of his enclosed area and when the neighbor was helping put him back he turned and bit his arm. The neighbor said he believe the dog was stressed out. Due to the bite history and food aggression we do recommend that Soloman goes to a home with either no children or older children and to someone that has the patience to work with a dog that has food/treat aggression.

You need a picture ID current address to adopt from us. If it’s not on your ID, you may bring a current bill with your name and address on it to accompany your picture ID.

We are open for walk ins during our regular hours of operation. Our hours are Monday-Friday 11:00-5:30 p.m. and Saturdays 09:30-4 p.m. We are closed on Sundays and Holidays.
