Sweet senior girl Sol is looking for a home! I am 5 years young and was abandoned here. Yep, left in a pen waiting for the staff to arrive to find me. Seems to be happening a lot lately, but I am glad I am some place safe. I needed urgent surgery because it was discovered I had something called pyometra, which is basically an infection on the uterus. This can actually be deadly, so boy am I happy to be here. I do ask that I don’t live with young children, so 12 years and older are best. I am apprehensive with handling and I do not enjoy sharing my belongings. I will trade for something else, but prefer to be left alone when chewing on a bone or a toy. Though older, I am still spunky and have plenty of energy! I do sit and take treats nicely, am easy to control on leash due to my size and cute as a button! I like people and enjoy attention. I will even sneak in a kiss or two if you let me! I cannot live with cats, but might do well with another dog. It seems that I do not like to share my belongings with dogs either, so that is something to consider. I did coexist well with another dog and might be just fine sharing my home with another dog. I also would be just fine being your only dog! A shelter is no place for a senior girl like me, so ask to meet me, Sol!
