Hi! My name is Socks. I'm going to tell you my story so sit back, grab your coffee, and read on. Let's start my story in the present, because I don't really want to talk too much about the past. I arrived here at Desert Haven (I was rescued from the City Shelter) a little while ago. The kind people here at Desert Haven gave me the name Socks. I'm sure you can guess where that came from: my four cute white feet. I like it.

Guess what else? I recently gave birth to puppies. My puppies and I were brought to the City Shelter awhile back and then my puppies weaned themselves. Now that I'm at Desert Haven I have some space to enjoy and a fun roommate to romp around with yay! My milk has dried up and I'm ready to write the rest of my story! And I promise you it will have a happy ending. I'm a plucky girl and I'm ready to start the next chapter of my life.

I've been showing the volunteers how very smart I am. I sit on a dime when I smell the hint of a treat. My doggie roommate and I play all afternoon. She's super fun and boy do I love to play! Since we have so much fun together I'd probably make a great companion for your dog too. I like to be petted and I like people. I have decided to open my heart to love.

It is time for me to find my very own family where I will be loved and cherished. In return, I will give my family all of my heart. Are you the family for me? Love always, Socks
