Meet Snuggles,
Rescued by the Police from an unfit home situation and turned over to JCCARE. Snuggles is learning to be loved and pampered in a home.
Snuggles is shy and timid. Her name is misleading as she does not like to be snuggled.
She is unsure of everyday things most dogs don’t even notice.
She is afraid of loud noise, quick movements and sometimes hesitates to go through an open door. Her foster family has to find her and try to pick her up (sometimes she runs & hides) to go outside often.
She has learned how to use potty pads but still hesitates to go outside.
She is still learning to trust & enjoy the humans in his foster home, Sometimes wagging her tail and sometimes hiding.

Her future:
A quiet family that will allow Snuggles to be loved on her terms.
At this point Snuggles does not really enjoy sitting and cuddling on a lap but does enjoy being pet if not held. (sometimes) Things may change as she adjusts to home life but for now
Snuggles will need the following:
A home on the quiet side.
A home with adults only.
A home with a secure fenced yard as Snuggles does not walk on leash and is terrified of the leash.
A home with another well manured, well-adjusted, small dog to help her overcome her emotional anxiety.
A home that is financially secure to care for her medical needs.

**Due to her arthritis in her back she should not jump down from furniture or be expected to take long walks / runs. This is a lifelong condition that will require anti-inflammatory/pain medication during "flare ups", Flares can be triggered for no obvious reason or due to weather or activity.
** Due to her dry eyes snuggles will require daily prescription medication for the rest of her life. This will require veterinarian prescription eye drops administered in both eyes 2-3 times a day.
