Snuffles now Murphy Schnauzer Mix Phoenix, AZ

Snuffles is from the Tucson Animal Care and Control. He came in with a fractured ulna that was set but did not heal. So he has been in pain for awhile. An incredible member of Valley of the Sun picked him up from Tucson and got him to Prescott where he had surgery that permanently repaired his fracture. He is 60 days non weight bearing. He definitely needs a bath and a groom but not until he has healed. He needs a very quiet home where he can live at peace and not with active dogs or children. Walking on a leash is not his thing and may never be because of his leg. But in time after it has healed, who knows. But that is a long ways down the road. Because of the injury he has not been with other dogs or cats yet.

He is about 38 pounds so probably a standard schnauzer mix. Could be pure bred but he is all natural with ears and tail. He is only two or three years old, so he has many years left. He has had an expensive surgery on his leg and in about two months will be as good as new.

Snuffles's adoption fee is $275. We do not ship our dogs. When you adopt a dog from us and for some reason it doesn't work, the dog be returned to VSGSR and a full refund is given with in the first thirty days. Any dog adopted from us at any time comes back to Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue if the adopter can not keep the dog. We are responsible for our dogs for their lifetime. And we hope our adopters are also. Each dog will have been neutered, had full panel blood tests done, been microchipped and up to date on all of his shots. We do prefer that you be within driving distance of Phoenix to adopt one of our dogs. If the adoption doesn't work out for some reason with in the first thirty days, the adoption fee is refunded upon return of the dog. Our contract states that during the life of the dog, should something happen that you can not keep any of our dogs, the dog must be returned to VSGSR. Should a family member wish to adopt the dog, they would be given first priority. We are responsible for our dogs for their entire life.
