Meet Snowball & Hunter

Hi! Our names are Snowball and Hunter and we are 2 year old, 85lb Great Pyrenees brothers. You can tell us apart by our ears I have black tipped ears (Snowball) and Hunter is pure white. We spent our lives living in a home in Oklahoma where we had lots of land to run on and lots of other animals to play with and we were happy and loved our life! A couple of months ago our owner fell ill and had to sell the home and property as he couldn't care for it anymore. We were left roaming on our own with no food which was confusing and sad for us, but at least we had each other. Eventually we wound up at a home where a really nice lady took us in and brought us to the vet to make sure we were healthy, she started some training with us and she has taken great care of us for 3 months now. But it is time for us to find our own forever home now. We are living with 3 other dogs and get along with them great - running, wrestling and tail chasing are some of our favorite games. In our prior home, we had donkeys, cows and goats and got along great with them too. We have been trained to sleep in crates every night in our foster home and actually learned to like them! Hunter is able to scale a chain link fence, so I often have to keep watch over him and yell at him to get down and stay in the yard! We recently were able to enjoy our first snow fall in OK and LOVED IT. We are looking forward to a new home in New England so we can spend more time playing, eating and rolling around in this amazing white stuff called snow! We have been trained to walk well on leash, and we will do ANYTHING for pupperoni's so although we can sometimes be independent and stubborn, you can get us to do whatever you want when those come out! We have not lived with cats before, but have met them on several occasions and never gave them a 2nd glance.

I (Snowball) have been called the smiley one who loves to be pet, get lots of attention, belly rubs are a favorite of mine and I have the typical Pyr trait of being a "leaner"! Hunter is a big time snuggler. He will sleep on the couch with other dogs or our foster mom all day if he can! Our foster mom says Hunter has a serious look about him, and you can tell he is always thinking. We are very sweet, loyal and loving boys who will bring a lot of happiness to the right family. We both have a medium energy level and are quite laid back.

Our ideal forever home would be together because that is all we have ever known. As with all Pyrs, our home must include a physical fence where we can sit outside in the sun and survey our surroundings or romp and play off leash with each other. A 6' privacy fence would be best for Hunter of course! And someone who has some experience with our breed and understands our love of barking at the New England leaves falling from all the trees! Children and doggie siblings would be a welcome addition to our family too. And of course, we would like lots of love and attention from everyone in our new family!

We are both healthy, neutered, HW negative and vaccinated. Our bags are packed and we are ready to head to the cooler New England climate in 2 weeks.
