REQUIREMENTS: live in the Rochester NY area and have a physically fenced in yard for dog to safely run and play in.
Snoopy is a 4 year old, neutered, Tri-Color Miniature Aussiedoodle (Australian Shepard/Poodle).

Snoopy came to our rescue on March 17 and has been with his foster parents since. He is from a Puppymill in Ohio where he spent his life in a crate and creating puppies.

Snoopy had a very hard start to life outside of the mill. He was completely shut down and would not eat or drink. He was terrified of everything and anyone. He suffered from diarrhea due to barely drinking and eating within the first two or three weeks of being with his foster.

Snoopy has since decompressed and has gotten used (for the most part) to his life with his foster family. He drinks, he eats, he goes for walks, he runs around outside, he chews on Nyla bones, he tolerates grooming (bathing-drying-shaving), he asks for pets and he gives kisses!

Snoopy will need a fenced in backyard that he can run around loose in. While he understands a leash, he doesn't fully understand to not follow humans out the front door.

Snoopy will also need a fully submissive dog companion. One that will allow Snoopy to follow around, will not expect him to play, but will also continue to show him what it means to be a dog. Snoopy currently follows his foster brother around everywhere. He does try to play with his foster sister sometimes, but it's only happened about twice and doesn't last long. He doesn't chase after her so the play lasts maybe a minute or two.

Snoopy sleeps in bed with his foster family and sleeps through the night. He isn't 100% potty trained but he hasn't had an accident in the house for about almost. two months now! He eats his food in a crate in a room by himself, otherwise he doesn't eat. He goes into the crate on his own and doesn't whine or bark to be let out. His foster mom gives him about 30 minutes to fully eat his meal and 9/10 he does finish.

Snoopy has a very long road ahead of him still on building confidence and learning what it means to be a dog. He needs a family that will continue to work with him on his struggles. He needs a family who has time and patience and will give him love, encouragement and praise. He is a loving smart boy and deserves the best!

Snoopy is UTD on all vaccines and has had a current dental cleaning/extraction. Snoopy is current on Heartworm/Flea/Tick Preventatives. Children are Unknown. Cats are fine.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.
