Meet Snickerdoodle!
A 10-month-old (estimated DOB January 2024), spayed female German Pinscher/Staffordshire Terrier/Shepherd mix, Snickerdoodle currently weighs 29 pounds and is expected to fill out a bit more as she’s not fully grown yet.

Snickerdoodle is being fostered in Houston, Texas, and can be transported out of state once an adopter has been approved.

Snickerdoodle is an energetic, playful, and smart puppy who will keep you entertained and on your toes! Whether it’s playing tug or fetch, zooming around the backyard, or exploring, Snickerdoodle is always ready for action. Her love for playtime is endless, and she’s got plenty of sass to match her enthusiasm.

She’s great with kids, having lived with children aged 11 and 16. However, as she is a jumper, younger kids may need to be cautious until she learns not to knock them over with her excitement. She’s even had experience with a wheelchair-using teen and would do well in a home with older children.

Although there are no resident dogs in her foster home, Snickerdoodle has had sleepovers and playdates with other dogs, and she LOVES to play! She’d thrive in a home with another playful dog who enjoys the company of an energetic younger playmate. She’s so smart that she once brought another dog’s leash to her foster to signal it was playtime!

Snickerdoodle is still learning her puppy basics. She’s about 90% potty trained and uses a speech button to communicate when she needs to go outside, though she occasionally has accidents in her crate. She’s highly treat-motivated, making her an excellent student for training. She’s working on leash manners—though she can pull when curious—and is learning not to jump on counters.

This social butterfly loves going to the dog park, stopping by coffee shops, and, of course, indulging in the occasional pup cup! Despite her boundless energy, she’s also very affectionate and always finds time to snuggle with her people.

When meeting strangers, Snickerdoodle may bark at first, but it’s an inquisitive bark, and she’s quick to warm up and say hello. She can be a little nervous in the car, but with positive reinforcement (and a pup cup treat), she’s improving.

Snickerdoodle will thrive in an active home where she can enjoy plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Long walks, hikes, playtime, and even agility training would be perfect for her! She loves tough toys, lots of attention, and has a silly, curious personality that will keep you smiling.

If you’re ready for adventure, fun, and endless love, Snickerdoodle is your girl. This petite, high-energy pup has a big personality and a heart full of affection, making her a fantastic addition to the right family.

***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***
